BIOGRAPHY

Lea Jaud is a dedicated landscape architect with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Copenhagen. She specializes in sustainable urban development, creating spaces where city and nature coexist harmoniously. With hands-on experience in inter-disciplinary projects, where she collaborated closely on innovative solutions for biodiversity and water management, Lea brings a dynamic blend of creativity and ecological responsibility to her work.

Lea’s design philosophy centers around crafting resilient, green infrastructure that addresses the challenges of urban environments in ways that enrich the lives of city dwellers and the natural ecosystems they inhabit. Influenced by a rich blend of professional experiences across Europe, she integrates cutting-edge sustainable practices into every project, blending aesthetics with function.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

01.2023 – 01.2025 | Landscape Architect at SIMA | BREER
In this position, I developed and presented designs in various project phases, paying particular attention to the needs of people and the environment. Through participation in competitions and collaboration in interdisciplinary teams, I expanded my expertise and developed innovative solutions for emerging urban challenges such as sponge cities, heat mitigation, and biodiversity.

03.2022 – 07.2022 | Working Student at Metropolitan Metaculture
The focus was on researching and designing a nature-based renovation of the building façade and the design of outdoor spaces. These measures promote both biodiversity and quality of life in urban spaces, offering valuable insights into various cultural approaches to these issues.

09.2018 – 01.2019 | Internship at Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl
I was involved in the ABC program (Active Beautiful Clean Water) and the design of renaturalized canals. My tasks included developing and presenting designs as well as collaborating in an international team. This experience highlighted the need for a new approach to urban development, which was hardly addressed in my studies in Munich.

Responsible for welcoming new students and introducing them to university life to foster social exchange.

04.2021 – 06.2021 | Participant in the Actory Innovation Program
As part of the „Vertical Farming“ program, I worked in an interdisciplinary team on the development of a vertical farming module. This experience deepened my understanding of sustainable agriculture and its importance in the fight against climate change.

2013 – 2015 | Tutor for New Students and Minor Refugees
Taught German and organized events to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
